Coffee_Lab
A warm, tactile ordering experience for a specialty café.
From mood board to buildable handoff
Coffee_Lab is a mobile ordering app for a specialty café. I owned the visual language end to end — designing the full flow in Figma and preparing a component-accurate handoff for React and Flutter engineers.
Generic templates killed the brand
Off-the-shelf food-delivery UI made a hand-roasted café feel like a fast-food chain. The brief was to make the app feel as considered as the coffee — warm, unhurried, tactile — without sacrificing ordering speed.
A design system, not just screens
I built a token-driven Figma library — type scale, spacing, motion notes — so the same decisions survived the jump to code. Every screen shipped with redlines, states, and interaction annotations, which made the developer handoff nearly frictionless.
A brand you can feel in the tap
The final app reads as an extension of the café itself. The component library meant engineers rebuilt the UI faithfully in both React and Flutter with minimal design QA cycles.
